PREMIUM - Wine of the Month Club
Lanzarini Family - Argentina
Leonardo Lanzarini and his family, vine growers in Modena, Italy, arrived in South America at the beginning of the 20th
century. Around 1905 they settled down in Rivadavia, living next to the pioneers of that area. In 1936 the Lanzarinis bought a
winery and began to produce their own wines, and enjoyed great prestige in the region. Since 1993 the family has started the
process of varietal selection and along with modern technologies has achieved wines in high demand all over the world. As a
result of these changes, the wines "Sediento" were born. The brand name is given after a place, by the plentiful River Tunuyan,
where the family first settled. The lands of this region, which are deep, flooded and clayish, offer the grapes an ideal place
to grow and ripen in plenitude.
FEATURED WINE: 2008 Sediento Red Blend Mendoza
Made from equal parts Malbec and Bonarda. The color is an intense ruby red with violet nuances. Aromas of rich, mature red fruits,
plums and gooseberries. Long and deep palate full of red fruit sensations including cherries, berries, blackcurrants and plums
together with a hint of vanilla. A complex wine with definite and mature varietal characteristics. The wine is ready to be
enjoyed now. Serve at room temperature in red wine goblets with steaks, roasts, rich pasta dishes, and aged cheeses.
Yering Station - Australia
Victoria's first vineyard, Yering Station, is located in the 'heart' of the Yarra Valley only one hour's drive from Melbourne.
As a family-owned winery, Yering Station has been recognized for its commitment to excellence, recently being inducted into the
Australian Tourism Awards 'Hall of Fame' for Best Tourism Winery, 2005. Yering Station is renowned for producing award-winning
wines of world-class quality and distinction. Now led by Winemaker Willy Lunn, Yering Station was honored with the prestigious
'Winemaker of the Year' at the International Wine and Spirit Competition in London, 2004.
FEATURED WINE: 2004 Nell Cabernet Sauvignon Shiraz Yarra Valley

roasts, pasta with red sauces or hearty cheeses.
Revelry Vintners - Mattawa, Washington
Rethinking the Craft. Rethinking the Experience. Revelry Vintners is a Washington State winery rethinking the crafting and
enjoyment of fine wine founded upon the idea that truly great wine is created from quality fruit, and that it should remain both
accessible and unpretentious. As a progressive producer of premium wines, highlighting the viticulture movement and dynamic
quality of Washington State's Columbia Valley, Revelry is a winery building a tradition of excellence. Revelry is the brainchild
of northwest native Jared Burns. Jared, drawing on a unique and experience filled upbringing, adopted wine as personal passion at
a young age; the son of self-made entrepreneur Dennis Burns, founder of Pro-Tec Helmets, Gargoyles Sunglasses, and the inventor
of the synthetic wine cork. In 1998 Burns was awarded the Golden Grape Award for his pioneering ingenuity, the product of which
forever changed the course of an industry and ultimately the quality of wine.
FEATURED WINE: 2006 Chardonnay Columbia Valley
Made from 100% Chardonnay. Revelry oaked this wine for a short time, thereby highlighting the fruit. Fragrant hints of fruit,
floral essence, and buttered toast on the nose. In the glass is a balanced array of light oak, soft citrus, and lingering
touches of pear. The balance in acidity, the pear, pineapple and banana present throughout the palette in this wine all may

INTERNATIONAL - Wine of the Month Club
Quinta do Judeu - Portugal
Located in Peso da Regua, the capital of Douro, Quinta do Judeu is the result of a family passion for wine, the Douro and
Portugal. The Carvalho family has owned Quinta do Judeu since 1932; Manuel Carvalho (known as Manuel do Talho) and his wife Maria
da Gloria were respected and admired traders in Peso da Regua. With their recently renewed and modernized estate, the Carvalho
family remains committed to producing wines that express the Douro and Portugal. Between their two estates: Corgo and Covelinhas,
the Quintas produce three brands: the Corgo da Regua, Manuel do Talho, and Quinta do Judeu.
FEATURED WINE: 2006 Corgo da Regua Vinho Tinto Douro DOC
Made from Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz, and Tinta Barroca. The color is a defined ruby red color. Aromas of red
fruit spices and wood give way to a palate of ripe fruit. Soft yet complex tannins lead to a long persistent finish. The wine is
ready to be enjoyed now or through the next three years. Serve at room temperature with tapas, pizza, pasta dishes, and medium
aged cheese.
Denis Gayte - France
At first take, Denis Gayte's story sounds like the kind of best-selling novel you'd pick up at the airport or throw in your bag
for the beach: All-American 20-something with promising dot-com office job moves from Seattle to a bucolic village in French
Provence countryside to farm his ancestral land and make wine. Denis Gayte is now living in the village of Domazan just outside
of Avignon on the edge of the southern Rhone and northern Provence. Some of the 30 acres he farms for his wines have been in his
family for years, having belonged to his French grandmother and then to his father Philippe a native of Avignon. Eventually he
augmented the family vineyard with more acres in the village of Domazan where he established the winery. Of the vineyard in
Domazan, Philippe says it resembles those of the famed nearby Chateauneuf-du-Pape district where soils can be so rocky that
vines appear to be growing out of the stones.
FEATURED WINE: 2005 Arum Cotes du Rhone
Made from 60% Syrah, 25% Grenache, and 15% Carignan all from low yielding parcels averaging 30 years in age. The wine is medium to
full-bodied, delivering flavors of raspberry and dried cherry, with splashes of fig and smoke. The supple finish features
chocolate and cream. Drink now through 2012. Works very well with spicy Asian food and Mediterranean cuisine, but is also very
good with a rib of beef! Only 200 cases made.
Ninet de Pena - France
The cooperative winery in Cases de Pene, a tiny village in the Roussillon region of Southern France, goes by many names, but
with its Catalan culture, most Americans simply call it "Pena". Situated less than 10 miles from the city of Perpignan, in the
Agly Valley of the Pyrenees, the name "Cases de Pene" is a derivation of the Catalan for "house of stones". It is a hot, rugged,
wind-swept place with distinctive, marne and black schistic soils. The heart and soul of Pena is winemaker Joseph "Tony" Gonzalez,
who has 20+ years experience at Pena, a brilliant flair for winemaking, and an instinctive and profound knowledge of the vineyards
and terroir. He has been offered more money by private producers, but loves his job and is entirely content dealing with the
growers and crafting the wines at Pena.
FEATURED WINE: 2007 Viognier Vin de Pays des Côtes Catalanes
Made from 100% Viognier. An exotic nose of citrus, pineapple, mango and peach, with light floral notes. The wine is light,
lively and very refreshing on the palate. Over all this elegant Viognier is well balanced and is excellent on its own or paired
with seafood (turbot, sole, or scallops) or spicy Asian cuisine. Drink now through 2010.
Decugnano dei Barbi - Italy
Decugnano dei Barbi is a producer of premium Umbrian wines. The Decugnano dei Barbi estate is situated near the town of
Orvieto, at Fossatello di Corbara, in the old zone of production of Orvieto Classico. It is located on a hill facing the Orvieto
rock at 320 meters above sea level. Its special and privileged position is perfect for quality production. The climate, the
microclimate with its exposure to the sun and the soil of marine origin, marly, argillaceous, rich in fossilized oysters and
shells of the Pliocene age, make it particularly suitable for vine-growing. The ideal ventilation of the vineyards completes the
uniqueness of this location.
FEATURED WINE: 2006 Arche' Orvieto Classico DOC
Made from 40% Chardonnay, 40% Grechetto, and 20% Trebbiano aged briefly in French oak. As one might expect, this is an especially
rich, generous style of Orvieto, with pleasing honeyed overtones that add complexity to the fruit. A pretty note of minerality
gives the wine a sense of proportion and balance. Drink now through 2010. Pair with Fettuccine Alfredo and Boiled Shrimp.

Francisco in the historic Livermore Valley, Wente Vineyards is recognized as one of California's premier wine country
destinations, featuring wine tasting, fine dining and championship golf.
FEATURED WINE: 2007 Shorthorn Canyon Syrah
In 1918, Ernest and Herman Wente began raising Shorthorn cattle in the southern hills and ridge lands bordering the Livermore
Valley. This ranching endeavor helped Wente Vineyards survive Prohibition and the Depression years. Years later, the hills and
canyons were selected for vineyard sites. Slopes and soils were identified as ideal for growing outstanding Syrah. Shorthorn
Canyon Syrah is the Wente family's tribute to 125 years of winemaking and ranching in the Livermore Valley. Each vineyard was
harvested separately and fermented in upright fermenters. Rack and return was performed twice daily. Rack and return is the
process of draining all of the free-run juice off of the cap, then pumping the free-run juice back over the top of the fermenter.
This method increases color and tannin extraction and improves mouthfeel through the integration of oxygen. The wine was then for
19 months in a combination of American, French, Eastern European, and neutral oak. This Syrah has mouth filling dark fruit flavors
of black cherry, earth and smoke with medium tannins and a smooth, spicy finish.

90+ POINT - Wine of the Month Club
Amavi Cellars - Washington
Amavi Cellars is small and family owned. They are dedicated caretakers of the land who craft elegant, approachable wines.
They focus on estate-vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah. The name, Amavi, is a combination of the Latin root words "am" (love)
and "vi" (life). Their objective is to capture the best of love and life in every bottle of their wine. They are a sister winery
to the prestigious Pepper Bridge Winery which is also located in the Walla Walla Valley. They use the term "sister" because they

utilize different vineyard blocks and winemaking styles.

Selene Wines is a tiny producer of hand-crafted Napa Valley wines. Selene's wines are the personal winemaking expression of Mia
Klein, a consulting winemaker. Selene's output is exclusively focused on the Bordeaux varietals that thrive in great Napa Valley
vineyards. Merlot and Sauvignon Blanc have been produced since 1991. Cabernet Sauvignon and a Cabernet Franc based Red Wine
(Chesler) have been produced since 2002. With each release, Selene's goal has been to capture forward fruit flavors and vibrancy
from the vineyard, and use minimalist winemaking techniques to frame the wines with extremely supple textures. The resulting wines
are food-friendly. They are open and accessible upon release, and yet they have the necessary balance and complexity to enhance
either home cooking or haute cuisine.
FEATURED WINE: 2008 Sauvignon Blanc Carneros Hyde Vineyard
Made from 100% Hyde Vineyard sauvignon Blanc (Musque selection). Hyde Vineyards is located in the Carneros Region of Napa between
Highway 12 and Old Sonoma Road. This is a relatively warm part of the Carneros, since it's further from the cooling influences of
fog and wind from nearby San Francisco Bay. It also has good elevation above sea level, making the soils lighter in clay with
better drainage. Selene has been sourcing grapes for this wine from Hyde Vineyards since 1992. Aromas have lots of concentrated
fruit; white peach, nectarine, Meyer lemon, Asian pear, and honeydew melon, along with vanilla bean creme brulee and sage honey.
Flavors in the mouth have very good impact and intensity, mirroring the qualities found in the nose, with a fine acidity and a
long, viscous finish. Drink now through 2014. Only 1060 cases produced. 92 Points Wine Spectator. 91 Points Wine Enthusiast.
THE ULTIMATE - Wine of the Month Club
Pride Mountain Vineyards - Napa, California
Pride Mountain Vineyards is a 235-acre estate with a wooden-beamed, modest-sized winery that blends smoothly into its
mountainous surroundings and California heritage. Their eighty-three vineyard acres drape across the gentle rolling crest of the
Mayacamas Mountains some 2000 feet above the floor of the Napa Valley. Being on the mountaintop provides many of the vines with
desirable southern exposures, which is unique for a Spring Mountain property. The elevation also puts them above the morning fog
that often blankets the Sonoma and Napa Valleys, with the result that the vines are bathed in sunshine from dawn to dusk.
Winemaker Sally Johnson leads the tight knit winemaking team, working closely with long-time associate winemaker, Romel Rivera
and enjoying the support of consulting winemaker, Bob Foley.
FEATURED WINE: 2006 Merlot Napa Sonoma
From their vineyard atop Spring Mountain, the 2006 vintage produced wines of generous richness and expressive aromatics, and this
Merlot is no exception. Red cherry, raspberry, cocoa and tar notes in the nose frame a broad wine with plenty of stuffing. With
the first sip, the sensuous mouthfeel leads into the wine's more serious side, as weighty but sweet tannins extend into a
minutes-long finish. The blend is made up of 81% Clone 181 Merlot, contributing classic red fruit and bright acidity, 7% Clone
3 Merlot, adding heady floral and black fruit notes, and 11% Cabernet Sauvignon from Pride's terraced Canyon Ranch vineyard block,
bringing structure and focus to the final cuvee. A wine for Cabernet lovers, this Merlot is no wine to underestimate, and will
continue to evolve over ten to twelve years in the bottle. 94 Points Wine Enthusiast.
Terre del Marchesato - Italy
Located near the famous town of Bolgheri on the Maremma Coast, Terre del Marchesato is decidedly the smallest of the zone's 37
estates and is lead by owner and winemaker Maurizio Fuselli. In 1954, Maurizio's grandfather had just migrated from the Marche
region with several other farmers in search of an area less ravaged by war. At the time, no one knew how valuable and esteemed the
area would become over time, and Emilio Fuselli was able to purchase 10 hectares of land from the same Marquis (Incisa della
Rocchetta) who would go on to create the wines of Sassicaia (the two estates are neighbors). In honor of his grandfather,
Maurizio named their first wine after him: 'Emilio Primo'. Amazingly, and despite the stunning quality of their wines, the
Fuselli family had never bottled their own wine until three years ago, selling only to local restaurants that came to buy wine in
small casks. Maurizio himself worked at Guado al Tasso for ten years, then quit and rebuilt his own cellar in 2003. Today, the
whole family helps out including Maurizo's three sons.
FEATURED WINE: 2005 Marchesale Syrah Toscana IGT
The color is deep and vivid dark purple with a purple garnet to the edge. The nose is rich, deep, and dark with notes red flowers,
black fruit. You may find the slightest hint of tar. The palate is very powerful and tight knit with an intense black fruit
attack. It has a huge tannic presence, but forceful fruit structure has allowed tannins to integrate totally. Long, generous
spicy flavors are evident throughout the finish. This is a delicious, warm, full bodied wine. Pair this beautiful wine with
mixed grilled meat or cellar through 2012. 93 Points Wine Enthusiast.
Domaine Georges Vernay - France
A pioneer in the renewal of the Condrieu appellation, Domaine Georges Vernay has always made wines of unique style, notable for
their finesse, elegance and harmony. Three generations have left the mark of the philosophy on the estate, while perpetuating its traditions in the greatest respect
for both vines and winegrowers. The Domaine Georges Vernay lies among steep slopes of the northern Rhone Valley. The property has
become a major emblem of Rhone Valley winegrowing, from the time when Georges Vernay saved the Condrieu appellation to the
international awards earned by Christine Vernay's Cote-Rotie. At Domaine Georges Vernay, wine-making is a constant quest for
perfection; every year the working methods are reviewed, and every year, for three generations, the estate strives to define
each vintage as finely as possible.
FEATURED WINE: 2007 Condrieu Les Terrasses de l'Empire
Each wine of Domaine Georges Vernay bears a part of France's long wine heritage, especially the Condrieu "Terrasses de l'Empire"
whose name echoes the time when the Rhone was a frontier between the Holy Roman Empire and the Kingdom of France. Made from 100%
Viognier. The wine is a light yellow-gold. It has intensely perfumed bouquet of fresh citrus and honeysuckle, with vibrant mineral
and herbal notes lending energy. Firm, finely etched orange, Meyer lemon and peach flavors stain the palate, gaining sweetness and
flesh with air. A sexy spicy quality lingers on the long, sappy finish. Serve this strikingly elegant rendition of Condrieu with a
citrus-flavored shellfish dish. Best from 2010 through 2012. 1,665 cases made. 92 Points Wine Spectator.

Located in central Chile in the renowned Colchagua Valley, Cono Sur takes its name from the shape of South America, the
"Southern Cone." The winery was founded in 1993 and conceived with the idea of producing high quality wines that deliver value
while expressing both their New World origin and varietal character. In 1998, Cono Sur implemented the Integrated Vineyard
Management system, using natural alternatives to fertilize, prevent and control pests, diseases and weeds. (They use geese to
control the common pest 'burrito.') In 2000, they started their first organically managed vineyard, producing their first
Certified Organic wine in 2003, and they were the first winery in South America to receive two ISO Certifications, one for
quality assurance and one for environmental policies.
FEATURED WINE: NV Sparkling Brut
Each delicately selected grape has been grown at one of the most southern origins in the world: the Bio-Bio Valley, which because
of its austral latitude is known for its sunny yet cold weather conditions. This, together with the intense redness of its soils,
results in a balanced with superb minerality wine. Made from Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Riesling, the wine is lively and radiant.
Its aromas reveal great expression of fresh fruit, mingled in with the complexity and elegance of honey, white flowers, and notes
of yeast. It's juicy, crisp, mineral and refreshing. A fresh palate, balanced, complex and with great acidity, displays an
extremely elegant and delicate brut. An excellent option to accompany toasted almonds, smoked salmon, or fresh tuna tartar. As
far as desserts are concerned, this sparkling wine goes great with fruit bavarois, chocolate fondue, or apples cooked in cognac.
